Glenorchy Organics Collection Starting 27th October
We are excited to start the next stage of the Glenorchy Community Composting project. After 6 months operating as a drop-off point, we are now ready to start collecting organic waste from residents in Glenorchy. Details below:
- Collections will take place every Friday morning to align with QLDC collection so it's easy to remember :)
- An e-bike with a trailer will be used for the collections
- We can provide a 20litre screw-lid, food grade bucket to be used as composting bin (we recommend using it as your outside bin) and have a smaller caddy in your kitchen
- On collection day(Fridays), place your composting bin/bucket outside. We will then empty it in our bins and leave it on the roads (same process as QLDC collection)
- We are also able to provide a kitchen caddy if you need one. Please let us know what size/model you would like.
